Bidspirit auction | A collection of hand-painted porcelain
A collection of hand-painted porcelain figurines featuring children in traditional Bavarian attire, attributed to Goebel in the M.I. Hummel style. The grouping includes two figures of a young boy wearing a Tyrolean hat, carrying a blue stein and a bunch of radishes, a subject identified in market literature as For Father (HUM 87). The collection also features a figure of a young schoolboy with a school cone and satchel, and a figure of a young girl wearing a red headscarf and green skirt seated upon a rustic wooden fence. Each figure is finished with a characteristic matte glaze in a muted color palette and stands upon an integral circular cream-coloured base. While the forms are consistent with known Goebel production, no maker marks are clearly visible in the provided images.
