Russia, St. Petersburg, circa 1900, workshop Sofia Michailowna Sefirowa. Fine brooch made of red gold 56 zolotniki (≈ 14K), elegantly curved in the style of Art Nouveau. Set with a total of 6 old mine cut diamonds of approximately 1.7 ct in total, in colors K–L and clarity VSI–SI. Master mark “СМ” (Sofia Michailowna Sefirowa) next to the Russian fineness stamp 56 and the St. Petersburg control mark featuring a female head in a kokoshnik (after 1899). Features delicate lines and the typical floral movement of St. Petersburg Art Nouveau. Weight: 6.97 g, dimensions: approximately 28 x 42 mm, condition: very good, in original, unaltered state.
