ROMAN MARBLE FIGURE OF HYGEIA THE GODDESS OF HEALTH - 2nd century CE. The standing goddess is wearing a chiton and is feeding a serpent out of a dish. Hygeia was the daughter of Esklepius, the god of Medicine, and appears on several city coins minted in the Roman Period in Israel, such as in Tiberias (see lot 48 above).
