Bidspirit auction | A ROMAN MARBLE HEAD OF

A ROMAN MARBLE HEAD OF A YOUTH - 1st or 2nd century CE. The head, which was originally inserted in a body and stood by a wall (the back is flat), is made of slightly grayish marble, in a provincial style with elongated face and curled hair. The right side of the head is covered with natural brown patina and the left side was cleaned. The nose is damaged, otherwise it is in good condition and it is an attractive work of Roman art.
