A TERRACOTTA OIL LAMP WITH 11 NOZZLES
Roman Period, 2nd-3rd century CE. 21 cm in diam. Decorated with a acorn and oak-leaf wreath. Inscribed in Latin on the underside: CAI OPPI RIIS, the initials of the famous central Italian potter’s name Caius Oppius Restitutus. Mended but in very good condition and very rare.
