AN OBSIDIAN GNOSTIC GEM - 1st-2nd century CE. Depicting a rooster headed warrior holding shield and a weapon, with serpent legs, standing on a lion and surrounded by stars. On the reverse appears a spell in Greek. With few chips at the upper and right side but in very good condition. 2.8x2.2x0.5 cm. Ex Professor Ehud Malberger collection, Haifa.
