CONSTANT LAMBRECHT (1915 - 1993) - CONSTANT LAMBRECHT (1915 - 1993) - ”stilleven” - olieverf op doek - gesigneerd - 47 x 56 cm Belgian School He studied at the Academy of Roeselare until 1939, then at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris from 1946 to 1948. His early work was influenced by Expressionism, but he later moved towards abstract art. Paris, with its leading artistic figures of the time – Picasso, Braque, Poliakoff, Destaël and Bazaine – had a stimulating influence on his vision.
