He is a painter and sculptor and often works with bronze and gold. He began his career as a painter, but gained international renown as a sculptor and creator of highly prized gold jewellery. Minnebo quickly developed his own distinctive and instantly recognisable style. His figurative sculptures, with their robust construction and smooth bronze surface, almost always feature the same rudimentary and sober face.
