DESCRIPTION AND MEANING OF THE WORK:
“Tracce Dorate” explores the transformation of a common and utilitarian object, such as a rag, into a work of art that celebrates the beauty hidden in ordinary shapes and materials.
The chalk solidifies the fluidity of the rag, forever blocking the movement and randomness of the gesture, while the gold transforms the humble object into something precious and monumental.
The work invites us to reflect on the ability of art to reveal beauty in everyday details and in the humblest forms. The gesture of dipping the rag in plaster and then bathing it in gold represents a process of elevation and transfiguration, in which the banal is made extraordinary. The work suggests that even what is considered worthless can be transformed into a symbol of beauty and importance.
