“Golden Fragility” explores the theme of transience and beauty hidden in imperfect details.
The bottle, a simple everyday object, is transformed through a light layer of plaster, which alters its consistency and appearance, while maintaining its recognizable shape.
The subsequent application of gold elevates the object to a state of preciousness, while maintaining a sense of vulnerability due to the delicacy of the coating.
The work invites the viewer to reflect on the fragility of beauty and the tension between strength and weakness, the banal and the precious.
The thin layer of chalk represents the transience and delicacy of life, while the gold symbolizes the attempt to give value and meaning to what is ephemeral.
