J.P.' - A rectangular metal chest with a hinged lid, finished in dark paint that is significantly chipped and flaked, revealing a reddish-brown underlayer. The lid prominently features white lettering: ”The Right Honorable The Lord Mayor of Leeds. W. Hodgson Esq. J.P.” The interior is also painted metal, exhibiting comparable wear and discoloration, and includes remnants of white string ties within the lid.
