A Chinese Blue and White Crackle-Glaze Ginger Jar and Cover - A Chinese blue and white porcelain ginger jar with a matching cover. The vessel is decorated with hand-painted scenes of figures amongst foliage in underglaze blue. It features an intentional all-over crackle-glaze finish and is accented with dark, textured bands around the shoulder and base, a style characteristic of 19th-century export-ware. The base carries an underglaze blue four-character apocryphal mark for the Chenghua period. Height: 11 cm.
