A Figural Group of Two Nymphs in the Art Nouveau Style, Mid-20th Century - This gold-toned sculpture, ldepicts two female figures in classical drapery personifying themes of abundance. One figure is portrayed holding a cornucopia overflowing with fruit, while the other carries a bunch of grapes and a small vessel. The figures are rendered in an Art Nouveau style with flowing lines and stylized features. The sculpture is set upon an integral, textured oval base featuring a repeating foliate border around the edge. This base is further mounted onto a rectangular, stepped, dark wood plinth with a decorative carved border. No artist signatures, foundry marks, or edition numbers were observed. The finish displays intentional dark patination in the recesses to accentuate the cast details. Height: 42 cm.
