A Pair of Art Glass Paperweights in the by Mdina - A pair of contemporary studio glass paperweights or decorative ornaments, in the style of Mdina Glass, Malta. Each piece consists of a bulbous, hand-blown spherical body featuring internal trailing and pulled frit decoration in shades of yellow and lime green. One item is set against a deep cobalt blue ground, while the other features a brighter turquoise blue ground. Both ornaments are surmounted by a solid, clear glass spherical knop. The design and colour palette are characteristic of the Maltese studio glass tradition, specifically patterns resembling seabed or seascape motifs. Total Height: 11cm Maximum Diameter: 8cm.
