A Collection of English and European Ceramics Including Wedgwood Crown Sapphire Tea Ware and Blue and White Transferware - A varied collection of ceramic tableware and decorative items featuring notable manufacturers and traditional patterns. The lot includes a set of four bone china teacups and four matching saucers by Wedgwood in the Crown Sapphire pattern, featuring broad cobalt blue borders with gold-tooled rims. The bases are marked in brown script: 1, a heraldic symbol, WEDGWOOD ®, Bone China, CROWN SAPPHIRE, MADE IN ENGLAND, © WEDGWOOD 1991. The collection also includes a substantial earthenware lidded tureen of lobed form, accompanied by a matching ceramic ladle and a large oval undertray, all decorated with a blue floral transfer-print design. A large, deep ironstone bowl features a dense blue floral and landscape transfer-print pattern, with the base marked IRONSTONE TABLEWARE, MADE IN ITALY. A white earthenware bowl with a scalloped, fluted rim and a central blue floral spray is marked CHURCHILL, MADE IN ENGLAND. Further items comprise a group of blue and white transfer-printed Willow pattern wares including a rectangular serving platter and a smaller conforming dish; a large dinner plate decorated with an all-over print of flowers and birds; a small cobalt blue glazed ginger jar with hand-painted white and gilded floral motifs; a cylindrical blue and white spill vase; and a small green presentation box.
