The group includes a functional whistle of cylindrical form with a flattened mouthpiece and a suspension loop at the terminal, stamped STERLING to the body. A decorative filigree thimble features an openwork body with scrolling and coiled wire motifs, topped with a solid dimpled cap and bordered at the base by a twisted wire rim. A small knife or page turner features a decorative silver handle with chased and repoussé Rococo-style C-scrolls, foliage, and shell motifs; the blade is fixed into a silver bolster and is stamped SILVER followed by further illegible characters.
