Unusual 10-Piece Vintage Clothing Group - A beautiful collection of mostly women's clothing from a wide variety of time periods. Some highlights are as follows: Lavender and white, 2-piece Hofflin-Middy suit which was custom made and all the rage from 1902 - 1920s. A sailor's Middy suit with the initial 'E' embroidered on the right sleeve - top missing. These suits originally sold for between $20-35 in 1910 - $600 in today's money! They were intended for expensive women's colleges and also ended up being accepted as casual sports wear. Unfortunately, the top has some rust spots. 26” waist skirt is in excellent condition with decorative buttons up the back. A 1920s black, long sleeve silk dress with silk velvet trim - there is some under arm and sleeve damage and this can be very easily made into a sleeveless beauty. Comes with a lovely sash attached and some minor pin holes to body. We've been told this next item may be part of a Navy nurse uniform. 25” waist with mother of pearl buttons on pockets - side buttons are missing. WWI white skirt. Next is a 1920s dress of fine beige netting in VG condition with delicate, colorful flower trim. It is lined in silk and comes with a low-waist belt. 34” for all - bust/waist/hips. Lastly we have a fine gauze and netting tea dress c1890-1900. Delicate flowers throughout with a 22” waist in VG condition. 5 other pieces included - please see photos.
