Indian Wars or Later Leather Carbine Scabbard - Weathered leather scabbard that can accommodate a variety of US carbines from the 1860's to the turn of the century. No manufacturer marks visible, and the throat has been modified at some point for hammer access. Missing strap, and base of scabbard is rough. Overall condition is rough, but perfect for a field used display for your carbine. Condition wise this piece is rough. It has lots of cracks, bends, overall wear, and also has a bit of a musty smell that's not too strong. This is great if you are looking for a distressed piece that has that field used look. This scabbard was part of the Civil War and Indian War display at Donley’s Wild West Town Museum for 45 years.
