Civil War Union Cartridge Box Breast Plate Brooch - Non-ground dug breast plate has been converted into a badge or brooch. There has been a cut to one of the shanks and it has been opened to become a pin catch. A very old pointed straight pin has been added to the other shank to make the plate a badge. Brass front has decent detail and back is fully lead filled. This is an intriguing item.
