Civil War Union M1850 Cartridge Box - This M1850 leather cartridge box was manufactured by “S.H. Young & Co Newark N.J.” clearly marked on back. Both interior magazine tins are present. Condition is fair to good with expected crazing and some flaking. Leather is supple and easily opens. The internal flaps are present, along with all straps and buckles. Has expected, typical verdigris on rivet hardware. US Oval front plate has pleasing patina. Measures 7”x8-1/4”x2-1/2”. A great piece for your collection. Please see pictures.
