Civil War Socket Bayonets Original & Repro - Pair of US rifle musket socket bayonets, one being an original and the other a modern reproduction used in Re-enacting. Original 1855 pattern measures 21” base to tip. Stamped ”US” on ricasso. Overall finish is good. Comes in metal scabbard, unmarked. Measures 18-1/2” long. Nice and straight, no dents. Reproduction is also 1842 pattern, stamped ”DGW INDIA” on ricasso. Comes in leather and brass scabbard, with leather belt frog. A perfect pair for re-enactor and collector alike.
