Early War M1 Carbine Parts and RARE Recoil Check - Lot of early war production parts for the M1 Carbine, to include a Type 1 Front Sling Swivel Band, a Type 1 Handguard, stamped with “Overton”, and an early Inland butt plate. The handguard is in good shape, showing no cracks and the metal parts show light oxidation. Also featured in the lot is a RARE, limited production, M1/M2 Carbine recoil check/muzzle break. The original muzzle breaks were manufactured by Underwood and Springfield Armory, however, there is little knowledge on the production of this particular break. This break is documented in the book “M1 Carbine” by R.C. Larson. Please see photos for overall condition. Part of the John Bannister Collection. Recoil Check: L 3.75, W 1.75”. Handguard: L 8.25”, W 1.75”/ Butt plate: L 4”, W 1.5”
