1892 Economy Accumulates Wealth "Beehive" cast iron Farmers and Merchants branch bank, Freeport IL. advertising mechanical bank. American19th century nickel-plated mechanical cast iron bank constructed to form of a rotating beehive atop a box platform. Economy Accumulates Wealth on three of the side panels with the fourth side advertising Branch of Farmers and Merchants Bank, all in high relief text with scrollwork. Beehive top turns and drops the proper coin into the proper slot with internal ball bearings prevent coins from falling out. Well constructed and in very good to good overall condition with some age and wear commensurate with age and wear. A Must Have for any mechanical bank collector, perfect addition to your collection.
