1880s J&E Stevens Bull Dog mechanical bank
designed by James H. Bowen, patented 04/27/1880. Very good to good overall condition with some age including paint loss and light discoloration; missing bottom trap door. Place the coin on the nose of the dog, and as the tail is pulled, he will throw the coin off, catch it in his mouth, and swallow it in one swift motion. Perfectly accented with red rug, lifelike brown eyes, spiked collar and white feet, chest and side spots. Handsome collector bank, presents well with attractive color and subject matter approximately 7.5"t x 3"d x 7"l. Great gift idea, perfect touch of class to your home or office.
