WWII Named US Army Uniform Grouping & More - Named WWII grouping that belonged to US Soldier T5 Joseph J. Dvorak. He served in the 43rd Engineer Battalion of the US Army Service Forces in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Coming straight from the family, this grouping includes: 1) Three service caps. Size 7 with “PVT J. J. Dvorak 28180” label inside, exhibiting wear and usage. Second cap is 7-1/8 size and is in great condition. Third cap is khaki and size 6-3/4. Visor detached. 2) Six Garrison/Overseas caps. Two are OD and four are khaki. 3) Five neckties. One OD and four khaki. 4) Khaki duffel bag. Paper tag attached reads: “PVT Joseph Dvorak Furlough 4-10-43” Quartermaster tag dates in to April 1942. Good condition. 5) OD wool shirt. Size 14-1/2 and 32. Clean, no pest damage. 6) Wool service coat. T/5 patches on both sleeves. 43rd Engineer Battalion distinctive unit insignia pinned to lapel US and Engineer discs on collar. Presidential Unit Citation ribbon as well as Pacific Ribbon with 3 campaign stars, American Campaign ribbon and Good Conduct Medal ribbon. 5 Service bars on sleeve and 1 overseas stripe. US Army Service Forces patch on left shoulder. Marksmanship qualification w/rifle tab on chest. Unform is fairly clean. Some mothing. Dimensions 30” x 23”. 7) Found in the chest pocket was a small interactive erotic peek-a-boo booklet titled “Yvonne De La Paix” it consists of a figure of a woman that can be either dressed in a gown, undergarments or fully nude with the sliding of cardboard inserts. Cover detached but in good condition. 3.5” x 1.5”. Ooh la la! 8) Unissued od canvas apron? for tools. Four pockets, two adjustable straps, dimensions: 22”x25”. 9) Leather flying cap. Loss of strap end. Tear in front, top. Ear lining. Fairly supple, with damage on edges. 10) Unidentified beret, od green/brown. No markings. Evidence of roundel insignia on front. 11) Cap for Templar Knight Masonic Order. Cucco brand, made in Chicago. Name “Geo S. Affelter” in sweatband. 12) 48 Star US flag. 5’x8’, printed, period WWII. 13) 50 Star US flag, burial, folded, embroidered. Please see photos.
