WWII US Bomb Sight Tool Collimator - WWII US Army Air Force Collimator with original case (Matching Serial Numbers). Manufactured by AGFA-ANSCO for the US Army Air Force in 1944. Lenses in good condition. Previously used with wear on case. Leather carrying handle on case broken. Dimensions: 17.25” long, 2” diameter in center. Case measures 19” x 4.5”x 4.5”. Collimators are used to establish focal lengths of lenses and to measure the distance of distant objects whose position is known. This particular type of scope was used by the Air Force on bombing runs to aide in sighting weapons. A nice odd piece for your WWII Bomber display. Bombs AWAY! See photos.
