INERT Post WWI/Korean War US Grenade Pair-Training - Pair of US MK.II Training Hand Grenades-WWII/Korean War era. Differing from the simple hollow cast grenades used for training, these are just like the real thing in terms of operable characteristics. First grenade body painted red, which was the color for training in earlier years post WWI. Body stamped “J” backwards and “S” backwards below. Red grenade has its screw in base plug present, whereas the unpainted other grenade is missing it. Red grenade is clean with minimal oxidation on unmarked fuze and shorter length spoon. Unpainted grenade has minimal corrosion and has oxidation on fuze assembly. “B_B” stamped into body. Dimensions for each 4.25” x 2.25”. These are great examples of early and later training grenades.
