US Navy ”King’s Pattern” Flatware Officers Mess x6 - King’s Pattern Flatware partial setting for 6 Navy officers. 24 individual piece in total [6 spoons, 6 forks, 12 knives of two types]. Pre-WWI era. Each is fabricated from silvered metal, magnetic, incorporating an ornate stylized ”shell” design on both sides of the handle, known as the King's pattern. The knife with a fouled anchor framed by the ornate frame on the obverse, the fork and spoon. The reverse of all items also stamped ”U.S.N.” (United States Navy) framed by the ornate frame. There are 6 Dinner forks [8” long]; 6 Dinner spoons [7.25” long]; 6 Dinner knives [9.75” long]; 6 Dessert knives [8.25” long]. The Dinner knives, forks and spoons are marked USN with fouled anchor on blade, and 3 of the Dessert knives are as well. Even after all these years, they still look elegant and stunning.
