Indian Wars Converted US M1884 Saddle Bag - An Indian Wars era US Cavalry Model 1884 leather saddle bag that was converted to a messenger bag. In good condition, albeit stiff. No loss of leather or stitching issues. Measures 13”x 16” x4” Written in ink on the inside of the bag flap is ” Burlington Motor Co. /Burlington” suggesting it served a purpose long after the Indian Wars ended. A great pieces that bridges the Era's of the Horse and Horseless Carriage. This bag was part of the Civil War and Indian War display at Donley’s Wild West Town Museum for 45 years.
