RARE WWII Operation Neptune BIGOT Monograph No 553 - RARE WWII Operation Neptune BIGOT Monograph No. 553 COMPLETE! This is not merely a book, but one of the most significant intelligence documents of World War II. This 1944 Operation Neptune Monograph Register No. 553, issued by Commander Task Force 122 (Admiral Alan G. Kirk), was the definitive ”Top Secret - BIGOT” briefing guide for the Normandy invasion. The ”BIGOT” security level was higher than Top Secret, reserved only for those with a ”need to know” for Operation Overlord. This complete 88-page specimen includes all Folios A through M, featuring the iconic maps of Omaha and Utah beaches, coastal profiles, and German defense sketches that guided Allied commanders to the shores of France. The items are in excellent vintage condition with crisp printing and minimal age-toning. Condition: The covers and internal sheets show light shelf wear consistent with age, but they remain remarkably well-preserved for paper of this era. Completeness: Having all folios (A-M) significantly increases value, as maps were often removed for field use or kept as souvenirs. Rarely do these documents come up for auction. Here is an amazing opportunity to hold the documents that changed history in your hands. H 13”, W 8.5”, D 2”. Part of the John Bannister Collection - acquired over a lifetime of collecting.
