17-Piece Ancient Lithic Artifact Set - This diverse assemblage of seventeen prehistoric stone tools and projectile points represents a significant cross-section of ancient lithic technology. The collection is anchored by a variety of bifacial specimens, including several stemmed and notched points characteristic of the Archaic and Woodland periods. Among the diagnostic pieces, the large, broad-shouldered corner-notched point shows characteristics of the Snyders or Gibson types, synonymous with the Middle Woodland Hopewell culture (approx. 2,000–1,500 B.P.). Several smaller, stemmed points and the serrated-edge examples are reminiscent of Kirk Stemmed or Archaic-period traditions, while the set also includes a white chert perforator or drill with a robust base and a tapered bit measuring approximately 2 inches in length. Notable materials include dark grey flint, earthy-toned jaspers, and translucent chalcedony, displaying a variety of flaking techniques from percussion thinning to delicate pressure flaking on the smaller ”bird points.” The artifacts are presented in a protective display box with a blue felt interior. Condition is typical for authentic field-recovered items, with visible edge wear, ancient impact fractures on several tips, and some minor modern nibbling, though many specimens retain excellent symmetry and sharp margins.
