Original Bernard van Guyse Carousel Carriage with Two Horses - Original Bernard van Guyse carousel carriage with two horses, in good, unrestored condition. Bernard van Guyse was a sculptor from Ghent, Belgium, who began working as a self-employed artist in 1918. In the 1940s, he supplied wooden carousel horses to the renowned company L’Autopéde of Melle, continuing this partnership until 1955. The horses and carriage are made entirely of wood, likely dating from that era. This rare and beautiful set was originally part of a children’s carousel. Dimensions per horse: 95 cm high, 110 cm wide, 40 cm deep. Dimensions of carriage: 70 cm high, 65 cm wide, 88 cm deep. Condition: Good. Location: The Netherlands, Tilburg.
