Fully Functional American Carousel with Parker & Herschell Spillman Animal Figures - Fully functional carousel with 12 figures. Bill Nunn bought the carousel frame from Mission Creek Theme Park, located in Hinckley, Minnesota, when the park closed. New brass poles and new wiring was needed. The platform was stripped of paint, then re-varnished. The shields and rounding boards where refurbished, painted, and a new canvas was bought for the top. 12 oil on canvas paintings decorate the wooden rounding boards, 2 of the paintings have visible signatures. This two-abreast carousel is populated with 12 figures: the outside row features Parker & Herschell Spillman horses, while the inside row includes a Heyn cow, French carousel pig, Bayol rabbit, Bayol cat, and Herschell Spillman zebra. The carousel is relatively small at 4,90 meters high (including the eagle figure at the very top) and 4,20 meters in diameter. In excellent visual and working condition only showing a few natural hairline cracks and small spots of paint loss. Manufactured by: S & S Woodcarvers, Santa Ana, California.
