Framed Floral Pastel Painting, Signed G. Perlee Jr. - Framed floral paste painting, signed G. Perlee Jr. bottom right, ca. 1950s-1960s. The artwork comes from the Perlee family, Netherlands most famous organ family. Gijs Perelee Jr. (son of Gijs Perlee) is known for painting the characteristic Perlee rosettes and the ”Sleeping Giant” painting in the center of the historically important ”Het Snotneusje” organ, which decorated the organ façade from 1960s until the 2020 restoration. ”Het Snotneusje” saved many lives of Amsterdammers who took cover behind it during the May 7, 1945 shooting on Dam Square.
