This item features a restored wooden cabinet with a reddish-brown finish and gold decorative stenciling on its side panels, mounted on an ornate black cast-iron pedestal base. The cabinet features reproduction decals. The wooden cabinet shows overall wear, scratches, and finish loss, including a noticeable chip on the lower front edge. The hinged top reveals an internal viewing mechanism containing a stack of monochrome stereoscopic cards, gears, and metal components which exhibit dust and minor corrosion consistent with age. A modern spiral fluorescent bulb with associated exposed wiring has been installed internally for illumination, and an electrical cord extends from the rear. The cabinet's top surface includes a green-painted metal viewing hood marked ”PATENT PENDING” and a brass-toned ”DROP COIN HERE” coin slot, both displaying patina and surface wear.
