German Seitz Coin-Op Personal Weighing Machine with Card Dispenser (ca. 1930) - German Seitz Coin-Op Personal Weighing Machine with Card Dispenser (ca. 1930). This vintage coin-operated personal weighing machine features a light blue painted main body, a black base, and a decorative ornate brass/gold-colored top section with a clear glass enclosure for the internal mechanism, which is illuminated by a working bulb. The machine includes a stepping platform and a support handle. Exterior signs provide user instructions, including a 10-Pfennig coin slot, and an ownership label for ”VEB Dresdner S warenfabriken Dresden.” The internal mechanism, consisting of intricate gears, levers, and an electric motor, appears complete and intact. An original instruction card inside references ”Steffen, Potsdam”. The machine comes with an assortment of vintage weight cards, loose coins, and keys stored within an internal compartment, confirming its card-dispensing function. The exterior paint shows some minor scuffs and wear consistent with its age and historical use, while the brass components exhibit a natural patina.
