'Jews are not allowed in' - Antisemitic Entrance ticket to the casino - Nazi Germany
Entrance ticket to the casino. Germany [1930s], signed on the back: "KASINO Fur Juden Verboten!" - 'Casino - Forbidden to Jews'. was not used. Extremely rare.
It is known about areas, streets, shops, and public institutions in Germany that as soon as the Nazi Party came to power, the sign: "Juden Verboten" - "Forbidden to Jews" was displayed at the entrance, Usually on a wooden sign or tin or stone sign (They can still be found today in museums that deal with Holocaust documentation). Before us a rare remnant of Nazi anti-Semitism in 1930s Germany, in the form of a casino entrance ticket which has been preserved, with the original inscription forbidding Jews to enter.
We have not found a similar example in the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, or in museums commemorating the Holocaust around the world, nor in the books documenting the manifestation of anti-Semitism in Nazi Germany.
Size: 9x4 cm. As mentioned, the card was not used. Very good condition.
