”Never Again” – an album of illustrations depicting harsh scenes from the Nazi death camps – Paris, 1969 – a copy dedicated and signed by the illustrator, Pictet Loudaïn - PLUS JAMAIS CA! - ”Never Again” – an album edited by Maurice Petit, featuring 22 drawings by the illustrator Piquet Ludain – harsh scenes from the death camps – each scene is described on the facing page (signed in the plate). The album was published to mark 25 years since the liberation, Published by IMPRIMERIE PETIT & ROUSSEAU, Paris, 1969 – a copy dedicated and signed by the illustrator Piquet Ludain – a former Mauthausen camp inmate, with his prisoner number: ”To Michel Tara, in memory of those who gave everything for freedom. Piquet Ludain 62978 Mauthausen, 24.7.1969.” The drawings in the album depict painful everyday moments from the lives of prisoners in the camp – in forced labor, in the barracks, groaning under the tyranny of the Nazi guards, and more. On the facing page of each drawing appears the harrowing description of the camp it portrays – Mauthausen, Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald, Dachau, and others. [52] pages. Album: 27x21 cm.
