Album – Harsh Photos from the Birkenau Camp. Poland, postwar - Brezinka – the Polish name for Birkenau, the extermination camp adjacent to Auschwitz – a pocket-sized photo album from the camp. Published by Polskie Towarzystwo Turystyczno-Krajoznawcze, Poland, post–World War II.  Photographers: Kielar, A. Bujak, J. Kistula. Photographs include: the camp’s Death Gate, the women’s barracks, the railway tracks at the unloading area, the camp center, the electrified barbed-wire fence, wooden bunks, the arrival of Jews at the camp prior to selection, a mother and her children on their way to the gas chambers to their deaths, the belongings of victims from the gas chambers, the destroyed crematorium, and the camp’s chimneys. All captions in the album are in Polish. Album: 10×7 cm. Very good condition.
