”Jews Out of the Medical Profession” - An antisemitic publication calling for the removal of ”Jewish medicine” from Germany on the grounds that it undermines racial purity. Hamburg, [1935] - First edition - ”!Es geht aufwärts” (”Things Are Getting Better!”) by Wilhelm Michael of Altona. Nur für Mitglieder des Bundes für Erbgesundheitspflege (Giftgegnerbund) – ”For Members Only of the 'League for the Promotion of Hereditary Health' (League of Opponents of Poisons).”  An internal antisemitic publication calling for the exclusion of Jews from the medical profession in Germany on the grounds that ”Jewish medicine” undermines racial purity. It further spreads false accusations against Jews as ”spreaders of disease, ” alleging that they were implementing a plan outlined in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion in Germany. Privately published by the author, a local publicist and ideological activist in the Hamburg-Altona area, [1934]. Extremely rare. A publication based on Nazi racial ideology, directed against the distribution of medicines by Jewish physicians, which it claims could endanger the purity of the Aryan race. ”Today, we have succeeded to a great extent in undermining the strongholds of these poisoners of the nation, who, under the guise of good intentions, are destroying the genetic constitution of our German people in the most dangerous manner...”. At the outset, the author claims that there are German physicians who use anesthetic drugs during surgical procedures that can irreversibly damage racial purity. He identifies several causes of disease, which he describes as forms of ”poisoning, ” and, in contrast, calls for a return to traditional German methods of healing, which he refers to as ”rebirth”: ”You can place your full trust in our Leader, his comrades, and his assistants, for they have nothing in mind except your health, fellow German!” He quotes ”our Professor Reiter, ” head of the Reich Health Office: ”I shall not allow any opposition, from whatever quarter it may come, to deter me from the path I have chosen. I know that our Leader wants biological thinking to permeate the entire nation. And if I see signs that are incompatible with this goal, I shall not hesitate for a moment to appeal directly to my Leader. For only in this way can every act of sabotage be stopped at its very inception.” He also cites remarks by Dr. Wagner, described as ”one of Hitler's closest confidants, ” delivered at the inauguration of the ”Rudolf Hess Medical Research Institute for Natural Medicine, ” asserting that Hitler's vision for Germany would be founded upon racial principles extending beyond Germany itself.  In the central section of the publication, the author presents an elaborate thesis blaming ”Jewish medicine” for Germany's illnesses. He accuses Jews of introducing modern pharmaceuticals into German society: ”Those Jews, who infiltrated the medical system like mycelium through a rotting trunk, knew exactly what they wanted. Learn more about the secrets of the Elders of Zion, gentlemen! Adolf Hitler referred to this in Mein Kampf...” He further falsely alleges that during the First World War, influenza patients in military hospitals were treated with Salvarsan, promoted by the Jewish physician Ehrlich, and were thereby harmed. He also writes: ”Approximately 48.4 percent of all physicians in Berlin's public health insurance system are Jews! A high proportion of these Jewish physicians are among those who treat symptoms with anesthetics and other substances produced by the Jewish-inspired chemical-pharmaceutical industry. Thus, these obvious harmful elements and foreigners hold a monopoly over the treatment of Germans who contribute generously to the public health insurance system... There is no doubt that the health authorities have already addressed this important issue, and we hope that they will soon succeed both in removing Jews from the treatment of Germans and in ensuring the participation of physicians in the treatment of patients at the expense of the health insurance funds.” In the chapter entitled ”Jews Out of the Medical Profession!”, the author quotes passages from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, claiming that Jews are supposedly committed to spreading disease among the nations in order to weaken them and sow hatred between them. He falsely alleges that the Jews practice hereditary ”poisoning” aimed at ”the paralysis and destruction of the Germans, or more precisely, of the peoples whom the Jew seeks to dominate, ” through the spread of disease. He further states that he intends soon to publish a work entitled ”Jewish Atrocities, ” then still in manuscript form, in which he plans to expose what he calls ”the Jewish monster.” He continues with the following inflammatory rhetoric: ”Everyone in Germany today knows that our enemies are not the French people, the English people, or any other nation, but the Jews and the Freemasons living both within and beyond Germany,
