Booklet of German Reich Postage Stamps, Berlin - Adolf Hitler - August 1941 - Deutsches Reich - Official German Reich postage stamp booklet featuring a profile portrait of Adolf Hitler. Issued for use beginning on August 1, 1941. Complete booklet containing 35 stamps in denominations of 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 12 Reichspfennig, in green, gray, brown, purple, orange, and red. The stamps feature a profile portrait of Adolf Hitler. The portrait was executed in a classical style intended to confer upon him an aura of authority, presenting him as the natural successor to the rulers of the Thousand-Year Reich. They were produced as part of the Nazi propaganda campaign designed to glorify Hitler's image among the German people. The series included several denominations intended for everyday postal use as well as for official purposes. The stamps served to disseminate Hitler's image throughout Germany and the occupied territories, functioning as a vehicle for ideological messaging and reinforcing the cult of personality surrounding him. They were printed by the German Reich Postal Service, and, in keeping with the high standards of German philatelic production of the period, were of excellent printing quality. During the 1930s and 1940s, the Nazi regime turned philately into an instrument for the dissemination of nationalist propaganda.
