This Mandala consists of a Kalachakra in the center, and the support of the Lotus. The lotus flower is the representation of purity, beauty, fertility, transformation and self-healing ability. It is not a coincidence that in the iconography of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, they are depicted sitting on a lotus flower-shaped throne. Kalachakra Mandala is considered the ”representation of the Universe”. The four Portals represent four elements through which it is possible to reach the center, where is Harmony and knowledge. This is also called “journey of the soul”. This Mandala represents the highest knowledge of the Universe system and self-knowledge. Kalachakra structure is able to activate the intuition and the view of universal dynamics. The material is cotton canvas, and the colors are water-soluble pigments, both minerals and organic materials, tempered with a solution of grass and glue.
