English translation of the work that was originally published before the arrival of the Allied forces in Paris and the restoration of the royal throne in France. Rare. Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Jean Michel de la Rocca served in the French army during the peninsular war, ending his campaign seriously wounded. He left us two texts on French military maneuvers, including this important testimony. With references to troop movements in Portugal.
