Lisboa. 1895. - VALDEZ (José Joaquim d’Ascenção) ALGUMAS Notícias para a Descripção Historica dos logares de Alcainça, Malveira e Carrasqueira do Concelho de Mafra . Lisboa: Typographia do Jornal, 1895. 116, [4] pp.; 215 mm. First edition of this local monograph, dedicated to the villages of Alcainça, Malveira and Carrasqueira, in the municipality of Mafra. The work is based on documentation directly transcribed from the National Archive of Torre do Tombo - namely from the Chapels of the Crown, Book 1 of Estremadura and the Chancellery of King Dinis and King Pedro I -, also including descriptions of the chapels and churches existing in each locality, as they appeared at the time of publication, and notes on the orographic system and agricultural production of the region. It constitutes a valuable source for the historical study of these villages in the western area of Estremadura. Rare. ⚑ Auto-translated via Google Translate
