Lisboa: Imprensa Nacional de Lisboa, 1943. XII, 442 pp.; 300 mm. A collection of previously unpublished documents from the chancellery of King John II relating to Morocco, edited by PM Laranjo Coelho, an academician of the Lisbon Academy of Sciences, under whose aegis it was published. This work complements the approximately eight hundred documents previously published by Pedro de Azevedo in his Documents from the Royal Chancellery Prior to 1531 Relating to Morocco (1915), bringing together new documentation on Portuguese interests and conquests in North Africa during the reign of King John II (1481-1495), a period of particular importance in the Moroccan policy of the Portuguese crown. The only published volume in this series, it remains a primary reference source for the study of the Portuguese presence in Morocco at the end of the 15th century. ⚑ Auto-translated via Google Translate
