Porto: Typ. de A.F. Vasconcellos, 1904. 570, [2] pp.; 270 mm. Extensive genealogical memoir dedicated to the Marinhos family and its branch of the Falcões Marinhos, from Braga, reconstructing the origin of the lineage and discussing the various opinions about its antiquity, before developing the genealogical titles of the various branches: the Marinhos of Ponte de Lima, those of S. Tiago de Pias, the Falcões Marinhos of Braga, the house of Costilha, the Malheiros of Vila Nova de Cerveira, the Marinhos of Galicia and Moulais, among others. Throughout sixty-seven chapters, the author systematically demonstrates the Marinho family's kinship with a vast array of nobles from Minho and Northern Portugal, including the Viscounts of Guiães, the Barons of Zambujal, the Mousinhos of Albuquerque, the Pachecos of Belmonte and Vilar, the House of Cavalry, the Pitas of Caminha, the House of Calheiros, the Albuquerques of Insua, the House of Silva in Barcelos, the Sás Soutomaiores, the Alpoins of Rede, and the Counts of Bretiandos, among many others. This is followed by an appendix on various families to which the Marinhos are related, biographical notes, and a collection of supporting documents. The work is illustrated with fold-out genealogical charts and reproductions of coats of arms from different houses, such as that of the Paço house in Santo Estêvão de Geraz, including the ancestry of examples dedicated to specific branches of the family.
