Included are covers commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Comstock Lode (1959), the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway (1959), Soil Conservation (1959), Dental Health (1959), American Industry (1959), and the American Flag (1959). Also present are covers from the American Credo series (1959–1960), honoring Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, and others, as well as issues marking the 50th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America (1960), World Refugee Year (1960), the Winter Olympic Games in Squaw Valley (1960), SEATO (1960), Water Conservation (1960), Honoring the Women of America (1960), and the 50-star American Flag (1960). These covers document significant historical events, organizations, and cultural themes of the late 1950s and early 1960s.
