The group includes multiple Pony Express commemoratives such as the 1960 Centerville, Indiana cacheted cover, 1960–61 Centennial issues, and 1983 Pony Express re-enactment cachets with multiple stamp frankings. Also featured are official covers from the 1947 Centenary International Philatelic Exhibition (CIPEX), held in New York to mark the 100th anniversary of the first U.S. postage stamps. These exhibition items include illustrated cachets depicting George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, and commemorative souvenir sheets, several franked with blocks of four.
