Each cover bears a cachet identifying the vessel by name and hull number, including USS Memphis (SSN-691), USS Tunny (SSN-682), USS Cavalla (SSN-684), USS Batfish (SSN-681), USS Silversides (SSN-679), USS Glenard P. Lipscomb (SSN-685), USS New York City (SSN-696), USS Mendel Rivers (SSN-686), USS Parche (SSN-683), USS William H. Bates (SSN-680), and USS Georgia (SSBN-729). All are postmarked on the date of the ceremony, with cachets produced by naval cover collectors’ organizations.
