Japanese Type 32 (Model 1899) Cavalry Saber - apanese Type 32 (Model 1899) cavalry saber manufactured at the Kokura Arsenal, circa 1937–1941. Features a machine-made curved steel blade with single fuller, stamped serial number 61882 on the ricasso, with Kokura star and kanji arsenal marks to the guard. Fitted with a checkered steel grip and iron D-guard. Complete with mismatched steel scabbard numbered 130047. A solid WWII-period example of the standard Japanese cavalry and NCO service saber. Blade measures approximately 30½ inches, with an overall length of about 37¼ inches including the hilt and scabbard. CONDITION: Blade shows light gray patina with minor spotting and faint edge wear; guard and grip retain a uniform dark finish with moderate surface oxidation. Scabbard exhibits dark patina and scattered pitting from field use, with functional fit.
